ABOUT THE POWERGRID
The PowerGrid is the first algorithmic tool to rank every player, project and company in the feature film business. The data from the PowerGrid is provided exclusively by what is formerly ItsontheGrid.com.
PowerGrid Pro (formerly ItsontheGrid) is the most current, relevant database cataloguing information on the feature film development business. It is an indispensable tool for entertainment industry professionals as well as aspiring filmmakers and screenwriters.
ItsontheGrid was founded by a group of literary managers who needed a tool to track development information and cover the various studios, other buyers and production companies throughout Hollywood.
The mission is to democratize open writing assignment, open directing assignment, spec script and other film development information for the benefit of the entire entertainment community.
Since its launch, the site has expanded exponentially, and now is the ultimate resource for:
- Feature film projects in active development and in production in Hollywood. Over 1000 OWAs (Open Writing Assignments), over 500 ODAs (Open Directing Assignments) and thousands of other projects currently in development and in production in Hollywood.
- Every spec script that’s gone out wide since 2009, and most of what came out in 2008.
- Released movies, including credits and box office data for every relevant Hollywood project released in the last 25 years, and then some.
- Every company involved with every project. Over 5,000 agencies, management companies, production companies, studios and other buyers, including contact information.
- Every person associated each project. Over 26,000 agents, managers, executives, producers, directors and writers, including contact information.
PowerGrid Pro is similar to the hard copied OWA and Casting Grids created by the big agencies, except that it is searchable, updated daily, includes full credits and contact information, and available to all Hollywood professionals. We designed the system so users can easily search for specific People, Companies and Projects (filtering by specs, OWAs, ODAs, development status, genre, and more, depending on subscription level) using the “Quick Search” and “Advanced Search” features. It’s easier than ever to search for an entire company’s development slate, or see a person’s past and future credits.
In addition, the system allows users to store private notes associated with every Person, Project and Company in the system. Users can also track projects and return to the site later to see any updates on the projects that interest them most.
ItsontheGrid is the most comprehensive tool for Hollywood professionals to track submissions on a particular project, see what your peers are working on, and get inside information about what a particular company is looking to develop. It opens the door for serious Hollywood aspirants to be a part of the business, giving unprecedented access to the information insiders use daily.
